Thomas Ware and Sons Limited, established in 1840, are based on their original 5 acre site in Bristol. They remain the biggest of the 3 traditional vegetable Tanneries left in the UK. Best known for their quality sole and bottom stock leathers, they supply the top end of the shoe manufacturing and repair markets, both here & abroad, industrial leathers including flat & round leather belting & friction leathers, and speciality leathers including alum tanned leathers for cricket balls.
